Research interests:

Alterations of nuclear architecture and chromatin structure as well as increased genomic instability are associated with aging and cancer. The research in our laboratory focuses on understanding the functional interplay between these processes. Our ultimate goal is to identify molecular pathways that can be targeted in cancer therapy as well as in the amelioration of aging-related phenotypes.

Training:

  • Postdoctoral fellowship, laboratory of Maria Blasco. Telomeres and Telomerase Group, CNIO, Madrid, Spain.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship, laboratory of Doug Dean. Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, MO, USA.
  • Ph.D., laboratory of Maurine Linder. Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, MO, USA.
  • B.S., Biological Sciences, Universidad Complutense, Madrid, Spain.
