Research Technician. We seeks a dependable and self-motivated individual to participate in studying resistance-associated ribosome methylation. Responsibilities include but not limited to performing routine molecular biology bench work, and maintaining lab inventories, and weekly radiation wipe test.

Applicant must have a B.S. in biological sciences discipline; a major in microbiology or biochemistry is preferred. At least 1-year non-classroom of laboratory experience in molecular biology is valued. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a desire to learn. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Undergraduate students. SLU students pursuing degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry should enroll in CHEM 397  in order to conduct independent research in the lab. Summer opportunities are open to both SLU and non-SLU students through the Doisy Undergraduate Biochemistry Scholar Summer Research Program. The application deadline is in mid-January each year.
