Alessandro Vindigni Elected DMR Co-Leader

Congratulations to Alessandro Vindigni, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry, who was elected as a new Co-Leader of the DNA Metabolism and Repair (DMR) Group of the Solid Tumor Therapeutics Program (STTP) at the Siteman Cancer Center. The STTP provides training of investigators at all levels of experience and offers educational opportunities. It consists of 58 members from 14 departments at Washington University and Saint Louis University Schools of Medicine.

The STTP aims to aid investigators in applying their genomics and DNA repair research discoveries to novel treatments and clinical trials for solid malignant tumors. DNA damage repair pathways are of particular interest, due to their role in illuminating the cause of cancers as well as in potential treatments.

For more information, see the story on the Siteman website.
