The Edward A. Doisy Historical Marker was installed installed as part of the SLU Bicentennial celebration and is in recognition of Dr. Doisy’s many accomplishments while at Saint Louis University, including receiving the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for synthesizing vitamin K, which is essential for blood clotting.
The marker was unveiled by Dr. Enrico Di Cera, Alice A. Doisy Professor and Chairman of Biochemistry, on Friday, December 14, 2018. The Doisy Marker is located at the entrance to the Edward A. Doisy Research Center.
