Congratulations to Fran Sverdrup, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biochemistry, who received a Research Growth Fund award to purchase an Odyssey CLx near-infrared laserpoint scanner. The instrument can be used to acquire and quantitate fluorescent signals on blots and gels with better reliability and sensitivity than other imaging options.
RGF awards are funded by the Saint Louis University Research Institute, which was established in 2018 as part of a gift from Dr. Jeanne and Rex Sinquefield. Fran’s proposal was one of more than 100 received in the first round, 15 of which were selected for funding. You can read the full story in Newslink.
