Congratulations to Lilian Silva, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Susana Gonzalo, on being awarded the Glenn Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR).
The Fellowship provides support to postdocs focusing on basic and/or translational research in the field of aging. Up to 12 one-year fellowships will be awarded for 2025, and the grants can be used for salary as well as research supplies, equipment, or travel to scientific meetings.
Lilian also recently published a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA entitled “A noncanonical cGAS-STING pathway drives cellular and organismal aging.”
