Mark Duerr awarded Predoctoral Fellowship

Congratulations to Mark Duerr, who was awarded a 2014 American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate Predoctoral Fellowship for for his project entitled “Chlorinated lipid mediation of contractile dysfunction in cardiac ischemia reperfusion injury.” Mark is a graduate student in David Ford’s lab in the Department of Biochemistry.

The AHA Predoctoral Fellowship supports trainees initiating careers in cardiovascular disease and stroke research before they are ready to establish an independent lab.
