Reza Dastvan, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Biochemistry, was recognized as a Rising Star by the SLU Research Institute. Reza has secured two NIH grants and received early tenure and promotion since joining the department in 2019. He also recently secured an instrumentation grant from the NIH for the acquisition of a high-sensitivity Bruker Q-band Elexsys E580 Pulse EPR spectrometer, which can be used in biophysical studies of membrane proteins.
