Congratulations to Sergey Korolev, Ph.D., whose application was the first to be funded through the BMB Internal Grant Program. Sergey’s application, entitled “Mechanism of DNA transfer in homologous recombination,” is based on recently published data on the novel properties of PALB2, and he aims to build on these findings to gain preliminary data to strengthen an R01 resubmission.
The Internal Grant Program was recently created to support Biochemistry Faculty in obtaining data towards new lines of research or to further an existing grant application. Details of the program can be found on the Internal Grant Program page.
