We are pleased to announce that Tinghai Xu will join our department as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2023.
Tinghai is currently a Research Scientist in the Departments of Structural Biology & Epigenetics at the Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapid, MI. Tinghai’s current research focuses on DNA methylation and G-protein coupled receptors. His future independent research program will focus on decoding crosstalk between DNA methylation, histone modification, and chromatin remodeling in human diseases and studying the mechanisms of DNA methylation on chromatin to develop novel cancer treatments.
